Emergency Needs Fund
Only currently enrolled students may apply. This assistance is designed to help students continue their education at Waubonsee Community College that directly impacts their classes.
The emergency must be a “one-time, new barrier or obstacle” that is “unexpected or unusual”:
- Provide clear, supporting documents of the circumstance
- Submit a clear statement on how this impacts their ability to attend classes for the semester
- Have completed 6 credits at Waubonsee Community College
- Are enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours
- Must be enrolled at Waubonsee during the Fall and/or Spring semester
- Have demonstrated potential for academic success
- Academically in good standing
- Do not have student conduct cases that put them in a negative standing at the College
- Charged in-district tuition rate and reside in Illinois
Funding is provided through donations, amounts are limited and not all requests are approved. The maximum amount awarded is $1,000 with the average amount awarded between $200 to $500.

Logging in for the first time:
Current Waubonsee students:
- Click on the “Sign Up” button
- Click the “Continue with Blackbaud ID” button
- Click on the “Continue with Email” link
- Enter your Waubonsee student email address and click “Continue”
- A message with a confirmation code will be sent to your email account for verification. Enter the confirmation code and click “Next”
- Create a password, enter your name, and click the “Sign up” button
- Your Blackbaud ID account requires that multi-factor authentication is enabled for your security, so you will be prompted to set up MFA at your next login
New students:
- First, submit a New Student Application (NSA): waubonsee.edu/apply. After your form has been processed, you will be assigned a Waubonsee student ID number (x-number). On the next business day, you may begin the scholarship account activation process.
- Click on the “Sign Up” button
- Click the “Continue with Blackbaud ID” button
- Click on the “Continue with Email” link
If you have never registered for or taken courses at Waubonsee, your username will be the personal email address used to complete your New Student Application
If you have registered for classes at Waubonsee and/or taken dual credit courses, you have been assigned a Waubonsee student email, which will serve as your username. For assistance, contact foundation@waubonsee.edu or (630) 466-2316 - A message with a confirmation code will be sent to your email account for verification. Enter the confirmation code and click “Next”
