Huberty Family Foundation Endowed Nursing Scholarship

The Huberty Family Foundation Endowed Nursing Scholarship is open to students entering their first year in the nursing program who have a minimum 3.0 GPA, are residents of Kane or Kendall counties, and who plan to remain in the community after graduation. Preference will be given to students who have financial need. The award is automatically renewable for a second year, provided the recipient maintains at least a 3.0 GPA and good academic standing with the college.Dr. Thomas Huberty practiced orthopaedic surgery in Aurora his entire professional career and is also a member of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation Board. He and his wife, Trudy, both Aurora natives, hope this scholarship will help individuals who are passionate about caring for others through a career in nursing but who are encountering financial barriers to realize their dreams. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses
