Michele Needham Scholarship

The Michele Needham Scholarship is open to new students who plan to enroll for a minimum of 6 credit hours. Preference will be given to students who plan to enroll full-time and/or who plan to pursue a career in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, or a related field. This scholarship is awarded in honor of Michele Needham, Executive Director of Human Resources, who retired in 2025 after 33 years of service at Waubonsee Community College. Under her leadership thousands of employees served countless students and community members across district 516. This scholarship is a refundable credit award. It will first be used toward past due tuition. Any remaining funds will be available for fall semester tuition, fees, or books or a refund may be requested from the Student Accounts and Cashier Office.
