John and LaVeral Fitz Endowed Scholarship

The John and LaVeral Fitz Endowed Scholarship is open to nursing and fine arts majors (equal awards given to each major) who demonstrate financial need and have a minimum 2.5 GPA. Recipients will be selected based on their demonstration of positive personal character through their application essay. This scholarship was established in 2022 in memory of John and LaVeral Fitz. LaVeral was a long-time resident of Sugar Grove and advocate of continuing education. John and LaVeral’s legacy will ensure that Waubonsee students receive the support they need to reach their educational goals. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
