Lyle & Jean Burrichter and Sharon Burrichter-Votaw Memorial Nursing Scholarship

The Lyle & Jean Burrichter and Sharon Burrichter-Votaw Memorial Nursing Scholarship is open to returning nursing students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA in Anatomy & Physiology I and II. This award acknowledges a family with long ties to Waubonsee. Lyle Burrichter generously nurtured the beginnings of both Waubonsee Community College and the Waubonsee Community College Foundation, serving on the Foundation’s Board of Directors. His daughter, Sharon, taught nursing at Waubonsee until her death in 1981. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
