Emma Brigham Endowed Scholarship

The Emma Brigham Endowed Scholarship is open to students of African-American descent who have financial need. Candidates must either have a GED with a standard score of 250, a comprehensive score of 2400 for tests taken before 2014, or a score of 600 for tests taken 2014 or later (must upload a copy of score) or be a high school graduate with a minimum 2.5 GPA. The Emma Brigham Endowed Scholarship was created in 1997 by Mr. Kent Shodeen, founder of Shodeen, Inc. in Geneva, IL, in honor of Emma Brigham of Batavia, IL. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
