Jane Whinfrey Harris Scholarship

The Jane Whinfrey Harris Scholarship is open to nontraditional students (over age 25) who are single mothers and have financial need. This scholarship was established by former Waubonsee Community College Foundation Board member Roger Harris in honor of his wife, Jane. Mrs. Harris has taken many classes at Waubonsee over the years and has worked with many people at Geneva High School who graduated from Waubonsee. She has a high regard for the mission of community colleges and especially for Waubonsee, which she feels has grown into an extraordinary institution. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
