Dempsey Family Endowed Scholarship

The Dempsey Family Endowed Scholarship is open to returning full-time students who have a minimum 3.0 GPA and are majoring in a business field. Applicants must US citizens, have financial need, and intend to transfer to a 4-year college or university. There is a preference to graduates of Marmion Academy or Rosary High School and to current employees or family members of current employees of Batavia Enterprises. Involvement in community service/extracurricular activities will also be considered. This endowment was established in 2014 by Waubonsee Community College Foundation Board member Gerard Dempsey and his family. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
