John J. Swalec Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The John J. Swalec Sr. Memorial Endowed Scholarship is open to new students who are Waubonsee GED graduates with a minimum standard score of 250, or comprehensive score of 2500 for tests taken prior to 2014 or 600 for tests taken 2014 or later. Applicants must submit copies of final GED scores. These scholarships were initiated by Dr. John J. Swalec Jr., President Emeritus of Waubonsee Community College, in memory of his father, John J. Swalec Sr. and are awarded to Waubonsee GED graduates who complete their equivalency work and begin their college careers at Waubonsee Community College. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
