Evar Erickson Memorial Endowed Scholarship

The Evar Erickson Memorial Endowed Scholarship is open to new students who are graduating seniors from Kaneland High School with a minimum 3.25 GPA. Evar Erickson helped to found Waubonsee Community College and served on its Board of Trustees for 20 years, beginning in 1966. He previously served on the Kaneland School Board. His late wife, Ivy, and his children, Ruth Anne Hartman and Paul Erickson, created this memorial to him in 1996 in recognition of his commitment to providing educational opportunities for students. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
