Arlene S. Hawks Fine Arts Scholarship

The Arlene S. Hawks Fine Arts Scholarship is open to graduates of East Aurora High School, West Aurora High School, Marmion Academy, or Rosary High School. Applicants must be enrolled full-time and majoring in fine arts. These scholarships were established by Dick Hawks in honor of his wife, Arlene, who retired from East Aurora High School in 2005 after 32 years of service. She was the Artistic Drama Director, teaching theater and producing plays at East High and throughout the community. Mr. Hawks has been a member of the Waubonsee Community College Foundation Board of Directors since 2004. The scholarship may cover all or part of tuition and required course fees and may also provide support for required books for credit courses.
